Martell, the iconic French brand and oldest of the great cognac houses, has partnered with another French icon, DJ Etienne de Crécy–the godfather of the La French Touch music movement–to create a limited edition glow in the dark bottle for its cognac, inspired by the neon lights of the French Touch.
The renowned DJ and music producer was commissioned to capture the French Art de Vivre and the throbbing, electronic pulse of music in a nightclub. Etienne de Crécy looked to his craft and the graphics in his music studio for inspiration. He explains “For this bottle I needed a dark, deep and dense background, in order to get the neons to vibrate. The famous Martell blue seemed the obvious choice as the colour also symbolizes nighttime. It came naturally. The neon was getting further away, fading out, and suddenly a rhythm appeared. It was both really abstract and really powerful.”
The limited edition bottle is available in the round, balanced, sweet fruity aromas and woody notes of the Martell Noblige blend. La French Touch by Martell was launched at an exclusive event at RedMR in Wanchai and will be available exclusively at RedMR locations until February 29th.
Martell’s “La French Touch” limited edition bottle will be on sale in all liquor shops from 1st of March
