Following the launch of its first establishment in Wanchai in August last year, Kasa aims to push the boundaries of Hong Kong culinary culture, focusing on creatively highlighting vegetables and plant-based ingredients with wholesome Chinese flavours. The new branch – Kasa Central – focuses on a takeaway-style offering, giving customers healthy grab-and-go options in a 'vegetable-forward' mindset. Working with local suppliers such as Green Common, Kasa Central sources fresh, wholesome and sustainable plant-based ingredients, supporting the movement of healthy eating and living.

Kasa Central sets out to promote their own definition of a healthy diet by curating a vegetable-centric menu that caters to the modern day Hong Kong consumer. Working with different complex textures and flavours of a wide variety of vegetables, as well as using selected lean meats and healthy carbs, Kasa Central offers a MSG-free menu motivated by the idea of a balanced diet, whilst incorporating a uniquely modern twist to traditional Cantonese flavours.

"At Kasa Central, we will approach the idea of a healthy diet from a different angle. We believe that eating healthily should be a flavourful experience that is both affordable and appealing to the palate of modern consumers," says Founder and Managing Director of Kasa, Adrian Lo. "We want to create a new culinary lifestyle with our vegetable-forward concept offering healthy, delicious, accessible and affordable options."

For takeaway, customers can pick three dishes of their choice from the different categories: fibres, carbs and protein. There are 12 options in total (four from each category) to select from, of vegetables, healthy carbs and lean meats. Signature highlights include traditional local favourites with a unique spin:
