Meat tastes better when it comes from a happy place, such as grass-fed animals from the English countryside

A month long promotion The Best from the English Countryside - Healthy Beef and Lamb has been launched here in Hong Kong to highlight the healthy animals reared in the lush meadows of the UK and the restaurants that serve the tasty meat that results from the freedom to graze and roam.

Several restaurants have signed up to assist with this promotion of the beauty of British beef and lamb and they have an enticing offer (on top of the enticing dishes) to draw in diners and get them to break out their smartphones. Diners that visit these restaurants and order the British beef and lamb promotional dishes, then take photos and create their own names for the dishes and upload them to the English beef Facebook page will be entered into a contest for restaurant vouchers.

The seven people with the most likes on their photo will receive restaurant vouchers for up to $2,000.

Participating restaurants and their promotional dishes include:

Watermark with a roasted beef salad, a beef stew, an Ashdale sirloin and an Ashdale ribeye.
