Cross Café

The name 'Cross Milk' brings back lots of memories – this soothing fresh milk was a go-to after-school snack, a family favourite and a childhood staple. Lucky for us, Cross Milk is now collaborating with new cha chaan teng Cross Café to create a menu of local fare. The menu features milk flavour soft serve (chocolate crisp is $5 extra). The soft serve here is smoother than ordinary scoops and richer in its milk flavour, not to mention that it's also very Instagrammable. Ice cream is available from 12pm, so be sure to check it out after brunch.

Lab Made

Lab Made has been dubbed the perfect outcome of taste and technology. The ice cream is frozen using liquid nitrogen and made with less cream compared to other brands thanks to the unique cooling process at –196°C. The creative flavours change weekly – with local faves such as mango pudding and black glutinous rice sweet soup interspersed with international tastes like salted caramel. We're always pleasantly surprised by Lab Made's unique icy, creamy flavours.

We were excited when GROM decided to launch in Hong Kong last year, and now that it's here, it's definitely worth the hype. Boasting 90 outlets worldwide, all-natural GROM was founded 15 years ago in Italy on the belief that gelato should be produced with only high-quality milk, cage-free eggs and fresh fruits…everything of the finest quality. My personal favourite flavour is pistachio – known as ‘happy fruit’ in Chinese, who wouldn’t want a scoop of happiness on a hot summer's day? Another popular choice is Crema di Grom, which is layered with hazelnut pieces and homemade cookies. Find your favourite ice cream match here at GROM, and I reckon you'll always go back for it.

French delight Dalloyau has been a hotspot for heavenly desserts since its launch in Hong Kong a few years back. We've all heard of their famous pastries, which include the Opéra, Saint-Honoré Chantilly and Religieuse. Dalloyau now is surprising us with an exclusive Thankful Weekbuy-one-get-one-free ice cream offer at their SOGO branch in Causeway Bay. So bring your friends and family there before 28 May or follow my plan to savour the two scoops of ice cream all by yourself!
