Pop-up featuring award-winning mixologist from Kuala Lumpur comes to the Mandarin Oriental’s iconic bar

For those who like to keep up with the latest trendy watering holes, you probably have already heard of Omakase + Appreciate, a speakeasy-style bar in Kuala Lumpur that’s been named one of Asia’s 50 Best Bars. The essence of the term “East meets West”, Omakase + Appreciate is a fusion of Oriental and Western influences, serving cocktails created by award-winning mixologists Shawn Chong and Karl Too.

From 21–23 June 2018, you can experience a selection of Karl’s custom cocktails right here in Hong Kong. Karl will be headlining an exclusive pop-up at the Mandarin Oriental’s M Bar, bringing with him some drinks with a difference.

The cocktails ($165 each) on offer include:

  • Dala’s Momo – Hernö Gin, peach amazake, hazelnut and Kowloon Bay soya salt
  • Jasmine-Lemon-Barley Champagne – East London Liquor Company London Dry Gin, mace-and-sumac spirit, lemon-and-toasted-barley infusion, jasmine tincture and champagne
  • MMXX – Wint & Lila gin, Nordic-Chinese seven-spice spirit, cocoa-husk tea, Mancino Bianco, aged chenpi (dried tangerine peel) and grapefruit cordial
  • Yuhina Fizz – By the Dutch Batavia Arrack, Suze, jackfruit, pineapple, citrus and tonic
