For those who like to keep up with the latest trendy watering holes, you probably have already heard of Omakase + Appreciate, a speakeasy-style bar in Kuala Lumpur that’s been named one of Asia’s 50 Best Bars. The essence of the term “East meets West”, Omakase + Appreciate is a fusion of Oriental and Western influences, serving cocktails created by award-winning mixologists Shawn Chong and Karl Too.
From 21–23 June 2018, you can experience a selection of Karl’s custom cocktails right here in Hong Kong. Karl will be headlining an exclusive pop-up at the Mandarin Oriental’s M Bar, bringing with him some drinks with a difference.
The cocktails ($165 each) on offer include:
- Dala’s Momo – Hernö Gin, peach amazake, hazelnut and Kowloon Bay soya salt
- Jasmine-Lemon-Barley Champagne – East London Liquor Company London Dry Gin, mace-and-sumac spirit, lemon-and-toasted-barley infusion, jasmine tincture and champagne
- MMXX – Wint & Lila gin, Nordic-Chinese seven-spice spirit, cocoa-husk tea, Mancino Bianco, aged chenpi (dried tangerine peel) and grapefruit cordial
- Yuhina Fizz – By the Dutch Batavia Arrack, Suze, jackfruit, pineapple, citrus and tonic
