What's the big deal about l'Overnight Oats? Everything. They are so tasty and easy to make, I felt bad about the name and classed it up a bit.

The premise is simple. Combine what you would usually put in a oatmeal breakfast, but instead of the heat, go for the cold. Much like how cold-brew coffee is taking off around the globe, this is the cold-brew equivalent for oats.

Here's what you need to get started (with one variant provided by Kath Eats):

  1. 1/3 cup rolled oats
  2. 1/3 – 1/2 cup milk [depending on how thick you like it]
  3. 1/3 cup plain yogurt
  4. 1/2 banana
  5. 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  6. Pinch salt
  7. Pinch cinnamon

Mix all that together in a bowl (pro-tip: we find a sealable container works best to keep fresh) and set it in the fridge. The jury is out on what you should top it with in the morning, but I am all down for some delish protein provided by peanut butter. However, it wouldn't do justice without mentioning Nutella is a great topper.
