Sugar
The Tai Koo-based EAST Hong Kong hotel plays its card just right a la Red Sugar’s approach, creating a quality bar experience at Sugar that is well worth your visit to the easterly business area. The view from the hotel bar reaches a hefty distance to the towering eastern mountains of Kowloon and soaks in the sun welcoming bar goers during sunset time. Red Sugar
Hung Hom may not be the first place one may think of hotels or drinking, but beginning your night at Red Sugar is probably one of the better ideas your friends have come up with in recent times. The Kerry Hotel bar is seemingly made for soaking up the orange, yellow, red, and purple hues of the sunset from their expansive rooftop bar. The venue makes for a temporary escape from the noise of other more centrally located bars to re-centre yourself.

Rosewood Hong Kong’s DarkSide has for years stood at the top of the bar scene, and for good reason. It is spacy, ethereal, and grand, perfect for relaxing after a long day on your feet dragging yourself around Hong Kong. For tourists, the globally-inspired drinks make for a complete hotel bar experience as the bartending team can cater for all and every taste. Head there after dinner to bathe in the soothing tones of the jazz played most nights by the in-hour quartet.

The Aubrey
The Aubrey is Hong Kong’s most fashionable hotel bar currently, located inside one of Hong Kong’s most well-known brands, the Mandarin Oriental hotel. The cocktail bar assumes a humble izakaya identity with the head mixologist and bartender team arming themselves with Japanese shochu to create top cocktails whilst showcasing local Japanese liquor producers. Their food menu is full of maki, sushi, sashimi, and robata picks making for a perfect food and alcohol pairing.

Terrible Baby
When the weather plays right, Terrible Baby is a must visit north of Tsim Sha Tsui’s bar scene and far away from other hotels. The hotel bar, located at the trendy, youthful Eaton Hong Kong, is a healthy departure from other bars in Kowloon, flexing their creativity with bold, fruity, and colourful cocktails and an expansive space both inside and outside for chill drinks. Their head mixologist is an affable character and leads a helpful team to welcome you.

ARGO
ARGO in the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong has gone from strength to strength since its grand opening in July 2021. Manned by Federico Balzarini, the Italian presence at the ritzy hotel bar has ensured that creativity has held no bounds. The cocktail programme rotates quarterly but focuses on floral and fruity notes. Ingredients are sourced locally and regionally to showcase Asia on the global stage in cocktail form.

Be on Canton
For a truly secluded experience at an underrated spot in Tsim Sha Tsui, Be on Canton at Gateway Hotel is an unmated space for cocktails and gathering. When the weather strikes right, the hotel bar is suitable for nibbling snacks and sipping cocktails atop their neon-lit rooftop. We recommend this space for large gatherings.
