For those who didn’t get to participate in the recent Michelin gala dinners and accolade soirées, fret not. The Michelin wave is not over just yet. Lai Heen of The Ritz-Carlton Macau has been awarded a star for the second year in a row, and they want to share their joy with gastronomists and food enthusiasts alike. This is an amazing opportunity for those who not only want to be a part of a Michelin celebration but also to experience a new culinary showcase firsthand.
Lai Heen is helmed by Executive Chef Bill Fu and is renowned for its culinary craftsmanship and luxury Cantonese cuisine. To celebrate their star, they are offering a limited-time Michelin degustation menu.
Delicacies presented include steamed bamboo pith stuffed with seasonal vegetables and black truffle, fried wild rice with whole abalone in oyster sauce and sautéed Australian Wagyu beef with cherry tomato in red wine sauce.
Savour a decadent pumpkin soup with bird’s nest, Hokkaido scallop and cereal.
Dig into the pan-seared cod fillet with French blue mushroom, preserved vegetables and pepper. This dish is recommended with a tea pairing of Phoenix Shui Xin or a 2016 Sauvignon Blanc from Martinborough, New Zealand.
The eight-course dinner menu is designed by Chef Fu himself and is priced at MOP1,888 per person. For an additional MOP550 or MOP750, each guest can opt for a premium tea or luxury wine pairing with each dish. The Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau 2018 has also recognised The Ritz-Carlton Macau as a Michelin Luxury Hotel.
