This wonderful dessert is very easy to whip up even for the most unexpected dinner party, and it's just perfect for romantic dates. One bite of chocolate mousse is nothing short of bliss, whether it's delectably light and airy or satisfyingly creamy and thick.

Our chocolate mousse is a simple combination of chocolate, butter and eggs, but more contemporary variations include cream, white chocolate, fruit, coffee, spices, brandy, rum and other flavourings. And who says dessert can't be healthy? The classic chocolate mousse is full of anti-inflammatory nutrients, antioxidants and healthy fats – it's impossible to resist!
