Dragon Noodles Academy, known for its quirky, modern take on Cantonese cuisine and retro decor referencing kung fu, has rolled out a limited-time menu featuring nostalgic dishes from Guangzhou. From now until 31 August 2018, diners can reminisce in a menu of yesteryear with dishes such as siu mai with quail eggs (3 for $59), deep-fried pastries stuffed with pork, crabmeat and coriander ($189) and pan-fried lotus-root-paste cake ($149).

Check out the soothing double-boiled whole winter melon with lobster and crabmeat in soup ($369).

There’s even a Hakka dish made of baked fish intestines with egg and dried tangerine ($139)!

Classic dishes like eight-treasure duck ($489; advance order required), which is stuffed with salted egg yolk, lily bulb, quinoa, lotus seed, shiitake, chestnut, coix seed and conpoy, are also featured on this nostalgic menu.

And what was Bruce Lee’s favourite dish? Steamed siu mai with pork liver!
