One of the highlights of the calendar at Happy Valley Racecourse and around the world each year is the kick-off of the Longines International Jockeys’ Championship, which showcases the best jockeys from around the globe competing to win a grand prize of $HK800,000 to be shared amongst the top-three jockeys. Last year’s winner was none other than Aussie Zac Purton, with past champions including jockey greats Frankie Dettori, Ryan Moore and Joao Moreira.
The trackside atmosphere on Wednesday, 5 December 2018 will be stunning as the night begins with the opening ceremony’s spectacular pyrotechnics display. In addition to the racing action, take in the sultry jazz beats of Jennifer Palor and band at Happy Wednesday’s Beer Garden.
