Cooling temperatures don’t have to mean the end of ice-cream season, especially when there’s an ice-cream flavour that’s a true reflection of the season. At year end, winter truffles enchant foodie connoisseurs all across the globe with their pungent, intoxicating aroma.
In celebration of the coveted fungi, DALLOYAU, a French patisserie that began in 1682 serving the royal family at the Palace of Versailles, has created a white truffle soft-serve ice cream ($50) using 100% fresh French milk. Each aromatic swirl of ice cream is served in a crisp waffle cone, with the additional option of a mixed swirl paired with luscious dark chocolate.
DALLOYAU’s white truffle soft-serve cone proves that truffle season doesn’t have to be limited to savoury dishes.
