Discover South Africa
2019 in South Africa is truly a year worth celebrating. This year marks both 25 years of democracy for the nation and 360 years of winemaking. Way back in 1659, the very first South African wine was made. Fast forward to 1994 and Nelson Mandela was elected the first democratic president of South Africa. Come celebrate and join us in a discovery of South African wine at Wines of South Africa (WOSA)’s annual Discover South Africa tasting event.

Discover South Africa

During the month of April, participating hotels, restaurants, retailers and wine clubs will be hosting various South African wine promotions. Previously, our Foodie Club got a taste of South African wine at our South African Wine Tour. If you missed our safari, or if you were there and just couldn’t get enough, you’ll have to join us for Discover South Africa. This annual tasting event is now in its sixth year and is always enjoyed by guests owing to its fun atmosphere and good vibes. You’ll get to try wines from both classic and new regions, from established winemakers and newcomers.

There will be delicious South African snack platters (be sure to try South Africa’s favourite snack, biltong ), a photo booth and much more! Come enjoy some South African hospitality and discover the diversity of the country’s beautiful Winelands.
