Malaysian Durian Brunch Buffet at Hotel ICON Hong Kong

If there is one fruit that has a fanatical following, it’s the effluvious durian. If you’re a devotee or just looking to discover what all the fuss is about, you’re going to want to get yourself down to Hong Kong’s first-ever Malaysian Durian Brunch Buffet at Hotel ICON’s Silverbox Ballroom for two dates only: 25 and 31 August 2019.

Delve deep into the world of durian with in-season durian savoury dishes and desserts created by the “Durian Prince” himself, Executive Pastry Chef Danny Ho, a native Malaysian chef. Celebrate all things durian with five types of freshly imported durians from Malaysia served on a platter straight to your table, including D197, D13, D101, Tai Yuen and a special durian recommended by Chef Ho.

The brunch buffet features a huge range of durian dishes and desserts created by native chefs including durian fresh shrimp and mixed fruit salad, fried pork spare ribs with durian cheese sauce, oatmeal- and durian-fried prawns, durian fatty crab, durian cheesecake slices, homemade durian ice cream and new durian dessert creations like durian French toast, durian kaya sandwich, durian pineapple bun and durian milk tart. Each guest can also enjoy a durian platter with five different types of fresh Malaysian durians served to their table.

There will also be a kids’ corner with a photo booth and scratching paper stands, fun-filled kids’ activities, a kids’ menu (bolognese pasta, beef and fish burgers and margherita pizza) and all-you-can-eat Mövenpick ice cream.
