Having recently had a revamp, Post 97 have gone back to 1897 with their décor and a drinks menu to match so veering away from the usual ruckus of Lan Kwai, their new space is more than just a casual watering hole; their menu is European influenced where you’ll see bellringers such as burgers, bubble n’ squeak and juicy ribs. The running theme crossing over food and drink is the prevalent use of fresh herbs, inspired by the Victorian botanist concept of 1897. Their drinks are specked with rosemary and thyme while their menu is divided into different herb sections.
Our night was made even classier with three dashing mixologists gracing us with their presence. Kervin Unido of Flint Grill & Bar made his Padre Blanco, a zingy mix of guava, agave nectar, lime leaf and white vinegar, and Bruno Santos from 21 Sky Bar in Macau shook up a ‘Voyager’ made of lemon, tawnyport spices, syrup, vanilla, cardamom, ginger and egg white.
The winning Bacardi Legacy mixologist of 2015, Devender Seghal from 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana served his signature the ‘Optimist’ made with basil, honey, ginger and yellow Chartreuse.
The night wasn’t complete without a Foodie giveaway of course, and winning guests on the night took home bottles of Bacardi and our specially curated Foodie hampers filled with a variety of food products from start ups across Hong Kong.
It was a unique night of first class cocktails and buzzing vibes so make sure to pop down to Post 97 the next time you’re looking to escape the din of Lan Kwai with great food and botanist inspired drinks.
