Ask Me Anything Event
(By 'me', we mean the experts at Nutrition Nation)
Our Foodie Club event next month with Nutrition Nation will be at NOM where you can ask nutritionists Tanja and Dilal, all your questions about food, diet, health and lifestyle. We are bombarded with so many diet facts and nutrition information this day and age, it's hard to keep up with what's important and true. They will rise to the challenge and attempt to answer everything with a live Q&A session. There'll also be fun food facts and plenty of healthy recipes to take home and start a healthier routine at home.
Chef Fabrizio of NOM will be serving his signature vegetarian meatballs, organic ham and radishes, polenta tacos with tomato and octopus and a slow cooked beef brisket. If you haven't been to NOM yet, this casual eatery is hearty and focuses on a simple, time-tested menu full of the classics that make up a heaving Italian American table.
It's not an obvious choice for a health event as we will not be serving a fully vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free raw menu, but the Nutrition Nation team are here to show you that you can eat good tasting food yet not feel guilty about it and what a better place to show that than with tacos and meatballs at NOM.
When: Wednesday 20 May, 7.30pm
Where: NOM, 1-5 Elgin Street, Central
How Much: $250 Foodie Club members / non members $300
*Price includes vegetarian meatballs, organic ham and radishes, polenta tacos with tomato and octopus, slow cooked beef brisket and a glass of Prosecco.
Ask Me Anything Online
Facebook session: 6 May, 8pm–11pm https://www.facebook.com/Foodiehk
As a preview to the event, we will hold a live AMA session online and to start us off, our resident quizzical mind, Keshia Hannam, asks some contemplative questions.
Should I quit eating sugar?
Why is fat suddenly good for us?
Why do people think vegans are healthy?
Are vegans even healthy?
What's with kale?
Some questions most of us have pondered on from time to time. We now have a chance to have all our questions answered by certified nutritionists, Tanja and Dilal of Nutrition Nation. We will be holding an Ask Me Anything session on Foodie's Facebook page on 6 May between 8pm–11pm where you will get a chance to ask them literally anything. Get involved and ask questions!
