Bacon Mushroom Burger

The brothers from Twins Kitchen, Caleb and Joshua Ng, walk us through their favourite recipes using ingredients from their their own ‘hood in Sheung Wan

Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes


1 ounce can sliced mushrooms drained

1 bacon rasher cooked and crumbled

½ tbsp sliced green onions

½ tsp Worcestershire sauce

¼ tsp soy sauce

¹⁄8 tsp black pepper

½ tsp salt

¼ lb ground beef

1 hamburger bun

¼ cheddar cheese slice

Sliced tomatoes (optional)

Lettuce (optional)


  1. Mix the first seven ingredients in a large bowl. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into a patty.
  2. Lightly coat the grill rack with cooking oil. Grill over medium-high heat for around 10 minutes, turning once.
  3. Just before taking off the grill, place cheese slice on the patty. Serve on buns with lettuce and tomato.
