The one-year-old Foxtail & Broomcorn will be expanding its repertoire to the streets of Wan Chai, with the opening of its store today on 2 Landale Street. F&B is the first healthy noodle bar in Hong Kong, with an arsenal of dishes inspired by different food cultures. Owner Victor Arminjon hopes to infuse the ideas and cooking techniques he discovered on his trip to South-East Asia into the dishes served at the new store.

The Wan Chai location will see new dishes such as the Hanoi Style Vietnamese Pho ($78), exclusive to the new store, and with a choice of an upgrade to wagyu beef. A new recipe for the “Gurney” ($72), a mixture of hokkien and rice noodles, and a favourite at the Sheung Wan store, will be introduced with a smoother, more aromatic broth. Apart from noodles, the restaurant also serves Taiwanese-style pork rice ($55), and with more rice options to come in the future. The new location will also have a hot stone grill, serving up grilled dishes such as the popular Southeast Asian snack - kaya on bread.

The new venue, accompanied with a high ceiling and warm fittings, is suitable for casual and informal dates and gatherings, with an emphasis on social dining.

A pending liquor license is also on the way for the Wan Chai store, adding to the list of after-work hangouts in the area.
