A “Shellebration!” Street Party at the Walrus
Recently opened by the Chow sisters (who also own The Woods cocktail bar), The Walrus is an oyster bar featuring a nautical theme. The oyster bar works closely with Baywater Sweets, a farm in Washington State that supplies the bar with creamy and moreish oysters. Together, they are hosting “Shellebration!” on October 17th from 3-5pm.
The oyster grower from the family of Baywater Sweets himself will be there to talk about their farm-to-table philosophy, sustainability and every nuance of the oyster. The event will be a combination of fun and education, with additional activities like photo jamming, oyster shucking classes and extra tidbits on drink pairings with seafood.
$148 per person includes 6 oysters (in a variety of different flavor profiles), 2 Salish Blue clams, and a glass of white wine to pair
