Hong Kong has seen a distinct trend towards health conscious eating in 2015, and the demand for pressed juices is higher than ever. Two new options have been added to the mix as of last week, and both of these juiceries use the cold press method which better retains nutrients compared to traditional methods.
Headed by Michelin Two-Star French Chef Akrame Benallal, this juicery aims to bring tastier, more nutrition-packed options to the market that could be used either as a supplement or part of a guided juice fast.Their juices are grouped into four colour categories, including Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green.
The Red series, for example, will feature concoctions such as Madame Carrot that consists of carrot, apple, orange, beetroot, and pineapple which helps strengthen the body’s ability to resist infections. The Yellow line will contain highlights such as Pineapple POWER with tarragon, pineapple, orange, passion fruit, coconut water and lime that serves to supply a whole day’s needs of vitamin C while also increasing protection for cellular functions.
The juices will be sold at various pop-up stores across town ranging from HK$58 to HK$70 per 250 mL bottle and will also be available for delivery with a charge of HK$50 to Hong Kong Island and HK$100 to selected locations in Kowloon.

The Spearmint Rhinoceros is comprised of spinach, honeydew, green apple, cucumber, romaine lettuce, broccoli, lemon and mint ($78) and is delicious, as is the Dreamcatcher; coconut water, pear, banana, spinach, mint leaves, hemp seeds, lemon and ginger ($98).
They also serve a load of different healthful snacks that we have quickly become zealots for. A distinct favourite: Cruncha Ma Me. Cruncha Ma Me are freeze dried edamames which clock in only 90 calories per pack. Also available are shots of juice as well as organic live algae.
