California Tower in Lan Kwai Fong welcomes a newcomer this month, known as Jinjuu, London’s modern Korean restaurant and bar, makes its mark in this hip-and-coming locale. The restaurant features modern renditions of classic Korean dishes envisioned by founder and French-trained Korean-American Londoner, Judy Joo. Amidst her multinational identities, Jinjuu is a celebration of her Korean Heritage, as she brings the fun of Korean “Anju” culture - eating while drinking - to her restaurant in London and now, to Hong Kong.
In light of the Korean philosophy that drinking should be complemented with good food, Jinjuu presents a menu highlighting the two in innovative ways. The menu includes uniquely crafted dishes such as Jinjuu prawn crackers, Jinjuu carnitas fries, Korean tacos, k-town mini slider buns, classics such as bibimbap bowls and Jinjuu’s signature Korean fried chicken.
The drinks menu does not disappoint with Korean renditions of your favourite drinks such as the Kimchi Mary, as well as cocktails derived from the largest selection of soju in Hong Kong.
Together with the warm and cosy ambience designed by Substance, Jinjuu could just be the answer to a chill night out in the city.
