Talk about a quirky night out, Da Ping Huo, a much-loved Sichuan private kitchen located in the heart of Central on Hollywood Road, is approaching their 20th anniversary and is doing a little something to give back to their customers.
From now till 13th June every Sunday to Wednesday at 8:30pm and 9:30pm, they will have folk soprano Ms. Li Yilin (李怡霖女士) performing classic Sichuan ballads while diners indulge on their all new seasonal menu, which will feature dishes such as spicy fried prawns with lotus root, Sichuan spicy chicken pot, kung pao chicken and the Chinese Western fusion delight - stir fried fish fillets with pepper.

Known for their authentic recipes and ingredients imported from Sichuan, Da Ping Huo was founded by famed Chinese painter, Wang Hai (王亥) and his wife, Wang Xiaoqiong (王小琼). Wang Xiaoqiong ran a popular private kitchen in Sichuan and had taken prominent roles in the industry which includes appearing as guest chef for a year at the Mandarin Oriental hotel helming their weekly Sichuan night.
