The Peak has seen many changes over the years, but the one consistency that has stood the test of time was Cafe Deco, a landmark of the peak and the go-to choice for anyone who wants quality food while comfortably soaking in the gorgeous greenery and world class landscape of Hong Kong.
Opened since 1994, Cafe Deco is the largest restaurant atop The Peak , with a staggering 15,000 square feet dining area spanning two stories and offering a vast array of international fares including tandoori specialties, pizzas, pasta and sushi.
Assistant Operation Manager, Matthew Chiu, has been around since the very beginning. “In the blink of eyes, I have worked in Cafe Deco for 22 years. I still remember every story like it just happened yesterday", Matthew said.
Cafe Deco will relocate to The ONE, Tsim Sha Tsui and is set to open in September 2016. The new premise will cover the entire 20th floor and will offer a panoramic view of the Hong Kong skyline. The old location will officially close its doors on 24 July.
We're very sorry to see Cafe Deco go, but we'll be sure to visit this institution and experience one last time what has certainly become an incredibly significant part of many Hong Kong people's collective memory.
