Make way for the return of the Brits! The colony might be a thing of the past, but Hong Kongers' inexplicable love for anything inherently British thrives. From 8 to 13 November, Best of British will be returning with a bounty of exciting events covering everything from food to cinema, music and art. We don't want you to miss out on any of the fun, so here's a summary of the upcoming events:


Best of British Film Festival

8–13 November

For you movie buffs out there, here's your chance to revisit some classic British film greats or acquaint yourself with newer works, under the stars and against the mesmerising backdrop of the Hong Kong skyline at Tamar Park.

Great British Food Festival 

8–13 November

Heart-warming and satisfying British nosh will be in abundance during this festival. Load up on puddings and pies at Tamar Park, where eight restaurants will set up shop and deliver their unique takes on old favourites with creations like dim sum Yorkshire pudding and bangers and mash with an Asian twist. To stir up more excitement, some of the dishes will only be available on certain themed days or nights.

Wine & Cheese Night by Berry Bros. & Rudd

Wednesday, 9 November, 5–11pm

Berry Bros. & Rudd is Britain's oldest wine and spirit merchant, with a history dating back to the 17th century. They will be dedicating a night to serving fine wine and cheese and will come up with a perfect British-influenced dish to go with their wine offerings.

Whisky Night by The Famous Grouse

Friday, 11 November 5–11pm

The glass can be half empty or half full ... as long as there's whisky in it. A perfect occasion to let off some steam, this Friday night will be focused on whisky in all its glory, whether it be neat, on the rocks or in the form of a cocktail. There will be haggis, Stilton, roast beef and other dishes to match with it too.

Beer & Bacon Day by Guinness

Saturday, 12 November 11am–11pm


Beer & Bacon Day! Tell us this isn't music to your ears. Each of the eight restaurants taking part will be creating a bacon dish exclusive to the event, all of which will be available for sampling. Nothing like a cold beer to wash down a delicious bacon-whatever.

British Garden Party by William Chase

Sunday, 13 November, 11am–1pm

Experience garden parties the British way on the last day of the festival with a game of croquet on the lawn, high tea in the Popsy English Garden, face painting and special British garden party treats from each of the restaurants.
