Eight Food Trucks Will Launch on 3 February in Hong Kong

Food trucks are coming in February and their respective locations have just been announced

The much-anticipated food truck pilot scheme will see the first batch of eight food trucks commence operation on Friday, 3 February. The winning applicants with their respective signature dishes drew lots on Monday to decide which locations their trucks will be placed:

Central Harbourfront Event Space:  

Dried scallop with fish maw soup (花膠瑤柱羹) – Quality of Life Product Company 

Energising Kowloon East Avenue 1: 

BBQ pork burger (黯然銷魂漢堡) – W Burger

Wanchai Golden Bauhinia Square:

American-style BBQ steamed bun (美式叉包) – Atlantic Sunrise 

Hong Kong Disneyland:

Maureen lo mein (魔厨撈面) – Maureen Loh

Ocean Park Hong Kong:

Soft pork bone with turnip rice (蘿蔔豬軟骨飯抄手便當) – Chee Kei

Tsim Sha Tsui Salisbury Garden:

Pineapple bun with fresh cream (鮮忌廉菠蘿包) – Tan Sing Cafe

Tsim Sha Tsui Art Square:

Dragon Eye (signature dragon fruit bowl) (火龍果沙冰水果撈) – Angela's Foodtruck Co 

Wong Tai Sin Square:

Five-coloured dumplings (五色餃子) – Ms Chan Kit Ling and Mr Liu Chun Ho

The first period of operation will last until 19 February, after which the food trucks will be rotated to other locations. The remaining eight of the 16 winning applicants are making final installation works and will make an entrance after their vehicles have gone through official examinations in the next few weeks.
