With its roots beginning in 1997, Child Welfare Scheme (CWS) is an NGO that provides protection, education, healthcare and opportunities for disadvantaged children and their families in Nepal, reaching out to over 30,000 children a year.

In celebration of International Children's Day and to support children's education in Nepal, CWS is calling on all companies, schools, clubs/associations and individuals in Hong Kong to participate in probably Hong Kong's first-ever charity bake-off, Shake & Bake, to be held on Thursday, 1 June 2017 or within seven days before or after that date. Donations from the event will go towards the Child-Friendly School project, a four-year project designed to improve both the physical environment and quality of education in 49 government schools across Nepal. The project focuses on teaching quality, educational resources and infrastructure such as libraries, toilets, clean water, safe classrooms and computers.

To get involved, simply sign up here, bake some delicious cakes or biscuits or host a morning/afternoon tea and shake a fundraising tin for this amazing cause!
