Now, this is one event you don't want to miss. Critically acclaimed pop-up marvel One Star House Party is returning to Hong Kong for just five weeks, bringing their favourite dishes back with them. Led by former Noma chef and Tom Aikens protégé James Sharman, the team set out on a mission more than eight months ago to create 20 restaurants in 20 months, each in a different country around the globe, with three of those weeks dedicated to research and ingredient sourcing and the last week saved for hosting unforgettable dinners. It's brought them to Vietnam, Nepal, Oman, Kenya and South Africa, to name a few, and every stop on the way has taken them further from home. Needless to say, a little bit of refuelling and HK-style TLC is in order.
Their Hong Kong stop will take place from 30 June until 4 August 2017 at competent pop-up hosting space Test Kitchen. Tickets for the eight-course tasting dinner are priced at HK$1,000 per head. Expect to sink your teeth into a dish from each of the restaurants they have built so far and soak up some authentic One Star House Party vibes. From dining under the stars in Oman, to building a restaurant on a handmade barge in Kenya, to trekking up to Base Camp at Mount Everest with chairs strapped to their backs, the team of the world's most-travelled restaurant are sure to have some incredible stories to tell over dinner.
Make sure to catch these guys before they jet off to continue their elaborate adventure. We anticipate that this pop-up will be a bestseller, so book fast – tickets to the culinary show are available here. We wouldn't snooze on this dining experience if we were you!
