We‘re sure most of us can tell champagne flutes, white wine glasses and red wine glasses apart. However, details such as the parts, materials (glasses aren‘t necessarily made of glass!) and sub-types of wine glasses are lesser known.
Lucaris is a company founded in 2009 that produces world-class wine glasses, a collaboration between Ocean Glass, Toyo-Sasaki Glass and Martin Ballendat, a German designer with multiple awards under his belt. With elegant designs and quality, they are the exclusive providers of crystalware for Michelin in the region.
On Wednesday, 9 August 2017, Lucaris will be pairing up with the Hong Kong Sommelier Association (HKSA) for a glass pairing dinner at Neighborhood in Central. At the dinner, guests will get the chance to compare tastes and aromas of different wines with glasses of different shapes over a five-course dinner with Mr Nelson Chow, chairman of the HKSA.
Don‘t miss this chance for a unique experience to enjoy and learn more about different kinds of wine glasses.
The dinner will cost guests $888 + 10% per person, and a complimentary Lucaris glass will be offered to each diner on the evening.
