Three-Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno’s casual dining French bistro Terroir Parisien has been a long time coming for Hong Kong. Chef Alléno was looking to open here as far back as 2006; but 2017 looks to be HK’s year at long last as he’s finally found the perfect location. Partnering with Epicurean Group, Prince’s Building in Central is the new home for this quintessential Parisian bistro experience featuring classic French recipes and produce. The bistro aims to be all-inclusive, reasonably priced and, above all, delicious in a simple manner. Diners can look forward to signature dishes including Parisian mushroom and snail patties, charcuterie platters, lamb stew and spring vegetables in a casserole and Nanterre brioche French toast with vanilla ice cream. Although they've experienced some delays with the opening, September is now set for the grand unveiling.
We met Chef Alléno (stay tuned for our interview with the famed chef) on his brief stopover to sample a tiny taste of his signature butter-dipped radishes and special pâte, which will also be sold to take home.
