What do you do when you have to satisfy a major craving for Japanese ramen in this sweltering summer heat? Fortunately, IPPUDO has the perfect cool solution.

Having turned six years old this year in Hong Kong, IPPUDO is introducing an exciting series of “COOL” promotions to celebrate their anniversary. In collaboration with ZUCCa, an equally iconic leader in the fashion industry, IPPUDO has unveiled some game changers for the summer season, including their anniversary-themed ramen – “COOL” uni ramen – and new seasonal items like the ZUCCa roll and Nagoya Torishin chicken wings karaage.

“COOL” uni ramen

Light yet packed with flavour, the “COOL” uni ramen ($138) tastes exactly as it sounds. Al dente noodles are served in a refreshing cold broth made of French consommé mixed with Japanese dashi stock, complemented with rich, velvety uni (sea urchin), salmon roe, soft-boiled egg and BBQ pork. Our only gripe for this perfect summer ramen was that we wanted even more uni!

ZUCCa roll

Pumpkin fans, here‘s a heads-up. The ZUCCa roll ($32) consists of a small box of deep-fried pumpkin rolls served with a side of sweet honey for dipping. Fun fact: this dish is not only inspired by the special collaboration with fashion brand ZUCCa, but the word zucca also means “pumpkin” in Italian – which, of course, is why they chose to highlight pumpkin in this dish.

Nagoya Torishin chicken wings karaage

Ho yeah, everyone loves a good fried chicken snack as a partner in crime to their ramen. The Nagoya Torishin chicken wings karaage ($42) are made from a secret recipe by renowned chicken restaurant Torikai in Nagoya, which has won numerous awards from Japan‘s most respected karaage authority, the Japan Karaage Assoication. These golden babies are raised in Nagoya, twice-fried and then dipped in a sweet-savory red wine sauce.

IPPUDO‘s sixth anniversary doesn‘t end here – it‘s going to be a long celebration! The campaign will include six phases, each labelled with a COOL-themed hashtag. To show their appreciation to their fans for the past six years, IPPUDO has teamed up with ZUCCa to offer premium collectibles and various discount offers. Stay tuned to IPPUDO Hong Kong‘s Facebook page for the latest news!
