Cool, refreshing poké bowls are essential to battle the merciless heat of a Hong Kong summer, so we were a tad dismayed to see our favourite poké joint, Pololi, bid aloha to several of its locations (see our poké Food War here). Although the Wanchai and Sheung Wan shops have shut, the original SoHo location remains in business. Apparently, Pololi has some exciting, delicious news brewing and will be doing a grand unveil very soon (hint: it will be something in the Wanchai neighbourhood).
For those hungry for fresh fish on rice, check out the Pololi city’super pop-ups at IFC and Times Square, where three of the eatery’s most popular flavours (traditional spicy, spicy mayo and ginger-spring onion) are served. Pololi fans can also indulge in a special catering menu at the upcoming Beertopia on 22 and 23 September 2017, with items like BBQ coconut-lime shrimp skewers, Spam musubi and huli-huli chicken and beef short-rib platters. Aloha indeed!
