Secret Studio Lab creates an enveloping storytelling experience and is renowned for its unique brand of experiential theatre, with a full spectrum of set design and roaming characters. The project has been running for the past nine years, with sold-out shows in London and New York, and is nowhere close to curtain call.

Themed Project Mayhem, their latest interactive adaptation is one of modern history’s most twisted tales of fraternity, violence and all-out psychological warfare. And it’s got an element for food lovers too – this year they’ve got a dinner and a show experience with a special three-course menu curated by The Butchers Club plus wine from Wine Brothers before entering the Space Monkeys show, where participants will ”dive into a dystopian world“. As usual, the secret warehouse location will only be revealed after you purchase your ticket.

For the food, the starter is a steaming pot of Australian black mussels in a Chablis, butter, cream and purple garlic sauce served alongside freshly baked pull-apart bread basted with beef drippings.

A big, meaty experience comes from the 45-day-aged slab of Australian Black Angus rib-eye, carved tableside, served with bowls of organic garden leaves and thrice-cooked, hand-cut steakhouse chips. A chocolate cake will finish you off, and that, according to The Butchers Club, ”isn’t what it seems“. We’re intrigued…

Vegan menus are also available upon request. The dinner + show experience is held on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm – at a bundled price of $1,600. Project Mayhem launches this week, from 3 November to 11 December 2017.
