Inspired by Italy’s lively markets, this two-day mercato at Bene features rich Italian cuisine, live cooking stations and artisanal retail products



Get ready for Macau’s inaugural Food and Wine Mercato, happening at Bene at the Sheraton Grand Macao at Sands Cotai Central. In sync with the renowned annual Carnival of Venice in Itay, the market is scheduled for 2 and 3 February 2018.

Inspired by Italy’s bustling markets, the Food and Wine Mercato (the literal translation of mercato is ”market“) will be held at the start of each month this year. The focus of the first Mercato of the year is the region of Veneto, one of Italy’s most popular destinations, known for its great food and art.

This month’s menu, curated by Luca Pecorari, Bene’s executive sous-chef, features a variety of dishes that showcase the region’s rich cuisine. The sensational selection includes amberjack carpaccio, squid-ink risotto and pan-seared Stockyard beef tenderloin, each dish paired with wine.
