With summer approaching rapidly, we’re seriously craving some cold ones. Thanks to the recently launched Beerhound, we can stay in the comfort of our AC units and have our beer brought to us!

Launched by Foodie Forks 2019 Readers’ Choice Food Hero and beer lover Tom Burney, Beerhound is an online craft beer store featuring a curated selection of local Hong Kong beers as well as overseas varieties.

Beerhound currently has over 500 different beers listed including IPAs, pale ales, lagers, pilsners, amber ales, Belgian beers, stouts, ciders and wheat beers. So as not to get lost in this crazy world of beer selection, Beerhound offers curated mixed cases. The Hong Kong Local ($850) package features 24 signature beers from local beer legends like Hong Kong Beer Co and Young Master Brewery. The popular Perfect Thirst Aid ($850) mixes things up with some classic favourites and hidden gems from all over the world. Both of these packages offer free delivery and contain 15 different types of beers, with 1–2 bottles of each type.

Introduction to Craft Beer ($450 + $60 delivery) is a smaller package of 12 different beers from around the world. All of these beers have been tried and tested by Beerhound.

Most beers are also available by the four-pack, allowing you to mix and match your favourites. Those who know what they like can buy a full case (24 beers), with a 10% discount on one case and 20% discount on two or more cases.

While Beerhound hopes that beer lovers will discover new and exciting local and international craft beers, they also have a range of classic lagers like Asahi, Peroni and Guinness as well as a selection of ciders and low-alcohol and gluten-free beers.

Orders are normally delivered within 2–3 days for mixed cases and “regular” beers and weekly for more off-the-beaten-track brews. Delivery is free for all orders over $600. Deliveries to New Territories, Discovery Bay, Sai Kung and South Lantau are weekly.

You’ll also receive an introductory 10% discount on your first order when you register on the website.

Special offer for Foodie readers

Use code FOODIE when you order any mixed case to get a complimentary four-pack of mixed local beers added to your order! The beers are selected by Foodie’s very own chef Tom Burney.

Free beers will be subject to minimum order of one mixed case. Each beer is 330ml. The code is valid until 31 July 2021. The selection of beer will be chosen by Beerhound from their collection of HK-brewed beers. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other special offer code.

Order online or email for more details.
