In light of COVID-19, we encourage diners to take precautions when going out. You can also support your favourite restaurants by getting takeaway and delivery.

We were overjoyed when US-based cinnamon roll chain Cinnabon spread its love to the 852 earlier this year, opening its first Hong Kong shop at Olympian City in February. We just can’t get enough of those ooey-gooey buns!

This coming Saturday, 24 October, Cinnabon will open its second shop here, this time at Tung Chung’s Citygate Outlets. This new location is more spacious that its sibling in Olympic, featuring a small table-seating area and bar-bench seats with handy USB charging stations.

Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter MiniBons

In addition to the Cinnamon Roll ($38 for Classic, $29 for MiniBon or $30 for 4-piece BonBites), Caramel Pecanbon ($46 for Classic or $35 for MiniBon) and Chocobon ($42 for Classic, $32 for MiniBon or $33 for 4-piece BonBites) that we all know and love, this second HK shop is set to debut a brand-new roll, the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter MiniBon ($35). We had a sneaky early taste, and it’s hard to go wrong with that classic combo of chocolate and PB – it’s as sinfully good as the rest of the Cinnabon roll range. We hope that peanut butter and condensed milk will be next for us Hong Kongers!

Hot tip: for a supplement, get your Classic Cinnamon Roll topped with a warm caramel apple mixture for the ultimate autumn feels.

Panini Cheese Rolls

Cinnabon’s first savoury options come in the form of Panini Cheese Rolls (from $40), with fillings including grilled cheese, turkey and Swiss, ham and cheese and sausage and cheese.

On the bevvy side, drink newcomers include Cinnamon Roll Latte (from $37), Cinnamon Roll Cappuccino (from $37) and an IG-worthy Matcha Chillata (from $38).

Keep spreading the love, Cinnabon – we can’t wait to see where you roll up next in Hong Kong!

[EDIT Aug 2021: It’s Causeway Bay! Cinnabon is NOW OPEN at 14 Matheson Street, Causeway Bay]

The Citygate shop will be open daily, 11am–9pm.
