Pei Ho Barbecue Provides Free Masks + Free Rice Boxes to the Needy

Back in 2016, we first awarded owner Ming Gor of Pei Ho Barbecue the title of our Foodie Forks Food Hero. Ming Gor has been distributing free rice boxes to the needy in Sham Shui Po – at least 100 meals each week – since 2011. His strong social conscious inspires us every single day and remains so as the city is being pummelled by the novel coronavirus, with many fearful to be working amongst the public.

Even during these trying times, Gor is continuing his work distributing free meal boxes to the needy, and on top of that, as access to surgical masks is challenging at the moment, he is distributing free face masks that were donated to him.

We are always inspired by the generosity of spirit from Ming Gor and his team at Pei Ho, especially during these difficult times.
