In partnership with Perrier, the organisation behind The World’s 50 Best Bars has launched a three-pronged campaign – 50 Best for Recovery – in support of the global bar community. The aim of the campaign is to provide as much financial relief as possible to the struggling bar industry as well as to create and provide resources.
There are three parts to 50 Best for Recovery:
1) Recovery Fund
Thanks to generous backing from founding donor Perrier, the 50 Best Recovery Fund will be utilised to support a range of non-profit organisations all over the world working to aid the survival and eventual revival of the bar sector. Funds will be raised through donations from 50 Best’s partners. Guests will also be able to give back to their favourite bars through a series of initiatives.
2) Recovery Hub
The Recovery Hub is currently gathering and generating content that will offer advice, information and inspiration for those working in the sector as well as cocktail lovers.
3) Recovery Summit
The virtual Recovery Summit will be hosted in October and will focus on exploring how the bar world can thrive once again. The summit will include masterclasses, case studies and discussion forums whilst gathering the global bar community together online to share information, promote best practices and explore visions of a post-pandemic world for cocktail bars and their guests.

Over the coming weeks, 50 Best plans to launch a series of fundraising initiatives to encourage both corporate donors and consumers to contribute to the Recovery Fund. One such initiative is the 50 Best Bid for Recovery Auction in June, which will offer food and drink lovers the opportunity to bid for world-class hospitality experiences from bars and restaurants in the 50 Best family.
50 Best will also publish Home Comforts: Simple Lockdown Recipes from the World’s Best Chefs and Bartenders, an e-book featuring simple recipes from the world’s leading chefs, with complementary cocktail pairings by 50 Best bartenders. The e-book will be downloadable in return for a small donation.
Those well-versed in social media should try their hand at the #50BestRateMyPlate competition. Foodies and cocktail lovers across the globe will be challenged to create dishes and cocktails inspired by the e-book. More details on how to participate in all these fundraising programmes will be released soon.
