WATCH: High Chai Afternoon Tea at VEDA

Dietary requirements can be tricky, particularly when it comes to dining out. In Hong Kong, we eat out constantly – which means it can be a nightmare if you have to stick to a special diet. We know that weepy feeling when all your mates are tucking into something you can’t have, even if it is a personal choice.

Luckily, VEDA – a Best Green Eats winner in this year’s Foodie Forks – has started serving an afternoon tea set of its own, dubbed High Chai ($220/person or $408 for 2). Being a vegetarian restaurant, this afternoon tea is completely veggie, with some items on the menu also gluten free and vegan. This certainly opens up the options to those of us struggling to find a light and lovely way to catch up with friends (and potentially indulge in a glass of bubbly or two).

Available daily, 3–5:30pm.

Ovolo Central, 2 Arbuthnot Road, Central, 3755 3067, book online
