Let’s keep it short and sweet – this is why we’ll be heading to Beef & Liberty this month:
1) There’s a limited-edition burger – and it’s plant based
Beef & Liberty are once again on board supporting the annual Movember Foundation, and what better way to do this than by creating a special burger for the occasion? In a bid to raise money this November, Group Executive Chef Uwe Opocensky has put together the Impossible chorizo burger ($148), made with an Impossible meat patty flavoured with chorizo spices and topped with guacamole, vegan Cheddar, pickled jalapeño, chilli, coriander, lettuce and vegan sour cream. For each burger bought and consumed, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Movember Foundation, with the campaign encouraging men to care about their health, including what they put into their bodies. “And that is what I wanted to focus on with this special by making it plant based and with vegan-friendly ingredients for our Movember burger,” says Opocensky.
2) New Impossible items on the menu
A menu refresh sees us digging into all-time favourites with a plant-based twist, with Beef & Liberty beefing up (ha!) their vegetarian, vegan and environmentally friendly offerings. Aside from a new butternut squash and pomegranate salad ($99), they’re also offering to swap out their regular burger patties with Impossible meat, vegan cheese and vegan buns. This includes their black pepper burger ($148), made with a potato-flour bun, black pepper, vegan Cheddar or raclette, caramelised onion and rocket.
3) The chance to win a return trip for 2 to San Francisco
If eating for a good cause isn’t reason enough, how does entry into a lucky draw sound? All Impossible chorizo burger-chomping guests stand a chance to win incredible prizes at Beef & Liberty’s End of Mo’ Party on Wednesday, 28 November 2018 (7pm at B&L in Lan Kwai Fong). The most incredible of all is a trip for two to 21st Amendment Brewery in San Francisco, sponsored by Craft & Crew and Brooklyn Brewery. Then there’s a junk trip for 40 and 30,000 Asia Miles up for grabs, plus much more... Do you know what this means? Eat more Impossible chorizo burgers, y’all!
