Little Bao is experimental Chinese cuisine served in a modern and creative style. Born in Toronto, chef and owner May Chow mixes her Chinese heritage and Canadian upbringing to redefine modern Chinese dining. Known for participating in overseas events such as the Omnivore World Tour 2015, the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival 2015, and the 10th bordeaux Wine Festival 2016, Little Bao has enjoyed three years of success since opening in Hong Kong and now they're opening their doors in Bangkok at 72 Courtyard, Thong Lor.
At the center of the spotlight is the bao, an award-wining Chinese burger. A must-try is the Pork Belly Bao, featuring slow-braised pork belly, leek and shiso, red onion salad, sesame dressing and hoisin ketchup. Pair it with Drunken Clams, steamed in Shaoxing wine, finished with butter, and served on enoki mushrooms with a velvety potato puree; end your meal with the popular Ice Cream Bao, ice cream served in signature deep-fried baos. In honour of the newly-opened location, the Bangkok restaurant will have an exclusive Cold Dan Dan Noodles and Under The Bridge Crab Fried Rice menu items.
Little Bao also has an exciting bar selection with handpicked spirits, beers and wines from around the world. Cocktails are kept deliberately simple, yet showcase the cultural creativity present in the restaurant. Japanese craft beers and sakes can be enjoyed and easy drinking wines from both the New World and Old are available.
With it's always fun atmosphere and innovative food, Little Bao is sure to make a splash in the Bangkok food scene.
