#1: Al Mahara (Dubai)

Al Mahara, is a seafood restaurant located inside the luxurious Burj Al Arab Hotel. The interior of the restaurant sets out an aquarium scene. Entering from the golden archway will lead you to the dining area around an aquarium.  You will be able to watch the sea life while a team of award-winning chefs prepare your very special meal. 


#2: White Rabbit (Russia)

The 'Alice in the Wonderland' themed White Rabbit is located on the 16th floor under a glass dome.  White Rabbit was also ranked 23rd place in The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2015.  Their menu offers a variety of dishes, including seafood, hot and cold appetisers, soups, Russian pies, grills, poultry, rabbit, porridges and truffles. 


#3: El Celler de Can Roca (Spain)

Ran by the Roca brothers Head Chef Joan Roca, pastry Chef Jordi Roca, and master sommelier Joseph Roca, also ranked 1st in The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2015. El Celler de Can Roca serves a variety of creative dishes, yet still retains the textures and flavours of each and every ingredients. Go for the wine pairing option to complement the dishes! 


#4: Peter Luger (USA)

Established in 1887, Peter Luger serves the finest cuts of cattle. At Peter Luger you will only have to decide on the size of the steak and let them do the rest.  They also have on-site dry-aging facilities at either of the Peter Luger Steakhouses to age the sourced USDA prime short loins and shells.   


#5: Can Majó's (Spain)

Green Beans and Iberian Ham Salad

A family-run restaurant in the sailing village of Barceloneta, Barcelona.  Can Majó's has been an all-time-favourite for its location and their seafood and fish menu.  The ingredients are sourced everyday by the owner himself, thus ensuring the kitchen receives the freshest products from the sea.

Maní, is the husband-and-wife restaurant in São Paulo, Brazil.  Chef Helena Rizzo has also won the title Veuve Clicquot Latin America's Best Female Chef in 2013 and the title for the World's Best Female Chef in 2014, and the restaurant is now ranked No. 41 in 2015 for the World's 50 Best Restaurants.


#7: Sukiyabashi Jirō (Japan)

Sukiyabashi Jirō, a three-starred Michelin restaurant was featured in 'Jiro Dreams of Sushi', a documentary in 2011.  The 90 minutes omakase sushi service is prepared by Takashi Jirō, the youngest son of the Master Jirō.  Sushi that is served at Sukiyabashi Jirō will definitely be the freshest you have ever tasted.

Sierra Mar offers breathtaking views through floor-to-ceiling windows at the top of the cliffs.  There are two tasting menus to choose from for dinner- a four course menu or a nine course menu. They also offer a full wine list (they also won the Wine Spectator's Grand Award) and VIÑA , for those of you who are passionate about wine.

The Brazilian dishes at D.O.M. are based on the ingredients captured in the Amazon rainforest. Be prepared to be astonished by the flavours, the combination of textures and the presentation of the dishes. D.O.M. is also ranked 9th on The World's 50 Best Restaurants list this year.

In terms of wine, you can choose to go by wine pairing, or simply just order a bottle of wine. If possible, pick to sit at the bar to overwatch the team as they deliver your plates. 


#19: La Chèvre d'Or in Eze (France)

La Chèvre d'Or in Eze, situated 1400 feet above the Mediterranean sea, is a two Michelin-starred restaurant offering the terrace or the gourmand restaurant. They serve seasonal menus with a view that overlooks the Mediterranean. The relaxed environment and accommodating staff makes you feel at home.


#20: Fäviken (Sweden)

Fäviken took the 25th place in this year's World's 50 Best Restaurants, and is one of the more isolated restaurants in Sweden. The restaurant can only accommodate 12 diners each night, serving Nordic cuisines using traditional farmhouse techniques and practices, with ingredients that are farmed by themselves.

This small Omakase restaurant, Sawada can only take six diners at a time, and the meal time may take up to three hours.  Sushi is prepared by the master, Koji Sawada using only the freshest ingredients and well-balanced sushi rice. You are encouraged to use your fingers and consume the sushi immediately after its been made in front of you. 


#29: Test Kitchen (South Africa)

Guests arriving at the Test Kitchen may choose to sit at the wooden bar that surrounds the open plan kitchen.  This way, they will be able to see the chefs at work while waiting for their plates to be prepared. The restaurant is also ranked 28th out of 50 in the 2015 World's 50 Best Restaurants


#30: L'Atelier Saint Germain de Joël Robuchon (France)

The two-starred Michelin restaurant, L'Atelier Saint Germain de Joël Robuchon serves steak, lamp, foie gras, as well as a ten course discovery menu if you are looking to try more.  Guests may also choose to sit at the bar to have a view of the kitchen as the eat.

Tuğra is located on the first floor of the Çırağan Palace and offers excellent hospitality.  Their menu includes Külbasti and kebabs cooked to perfection, with the best ingredients and spices available. The culinary team at Bern's uses the best seasonal produce for their menu, and also offers a seasonal special menu that changes every three weeks or so.  Their menu includes oysters, vegetarian entrees, catches of the day and special dinners to be paired with wine. 


#33: Sibilla Ristorante (Italy)

The Italian restaurant, Sibilla Ristorante is located between two ancient Roman temples.  The menu offers a range of dishes, including some of the Italian classics that are made with meat and fish. They also offer a comprehensive wine list for those who would like to complement their meal with a glass of wine. 


#34: Cabaña Las Lilas (Argentina)

Cabaña Las Lilas is perfect for all meat lovers as they offer a variety of beef species, including Black Angus, Braford and Brahman.  They also offer some chicken and pork dishes. Portions are good sized and are cooked perfectly to your liking. Never a bad steak here at Cabaña Las Lilas!

Ezard's serve an a la carte menu as well as tasting menus to showcase their seasonal ingredients.  Guests can also pick the wine pairing option to further enhance the dishes.  Their menu is heavily focused on seafood and is continually evolving to take advantage of each ingredient. They serve one of the freshest plates in all of Melbourne. 


#36: Osteria Francescana (Italy)

Osteria Francescana is a three-starred but rather small restaurant of only twelve tables, in the heart of Modena. The restaurant is also ranked 1st in Italy and is ranked 2nd on the 2015 World's 50 Best restaurants list. Pick the traditional menu or the creative tasting menu if you are feeling a bit adventurous.


#37: La Castela (Spain)

The restaurant at La Castela is hidden by the bustling tapas bar that mainly serves the locals.  Blend in with the locals and have a pre-drink at the tapas bar before heading to the calmer, yet busy restaurant with spacious seating available in the back! 


#38: Quay (Australia)
