Art Central hosts The Continental as a first class pop up this weekend

Swire Hotel’s newest restaurant, The Continental, partners with Art Central to bring a new bar and restaurant experience to the fair. The menus, designed by leading British chef and Financial Times Weekend food writer, Rowley Leigh, draw their inspiration from the grand cafes of Europe and feature a selection of your favourite drinks and classic dishes from 11am each day.

The dining menu includes the signature Raw Tuna with Ginger Dressing, Bucatini with Red Mullet, Tomato and Chilli, Moscato Zabaglione with Strawberries and Cantuccini Biscuits. A selection of pastries and sandwiches will also be served late afternoon, including Prawn Brioche Buns, Raspberry Macarons, Fines de Claires Oysters and more, for guests to enjoy.


The pop- Image titleup restaurant and bar will cater 150 people and is staged at the heart of the 10,000 square metres structure on the Central Harbourfront.


“The Continental aims to be at the heart of Hong Kong’s cultural and social life and this will be a great showcase for us.” said Rowley Leigh, Chef Consultant of The Continental.


The Continental pop-up restaurant is open from 11:00am to 6:30pm every day, with afternoon tea served from 4:30pm.



Art Central is open to the public from 14 to 16 March.

About Art Central

The inaugural Art Central fair features an international selection of over 90 contemporary galleries from 21 countries, 65% of which are from greater Asia. The list of exhibitors includes 18 galleries from Hong Kong and 31 galleries that are exhibiting in the city for the first time.

Staged in a temporary 10,000 square metres structure on the Central Harbourfront and designed by the award-winning architectural group, Stiff & Trevillion, Art Central has complemented Art Basel and added a new dimension to Hong Kong’s Art Week.
