The girls are in town at The Pontiac on Monday the 19th October featuring the best female bartenders in Asia

Female takeover at The Pontiac Monday 19th of October featuring the best female bartenders in Asia from Singapore, Seoul, Phnom Penh and our own Hong Kong. 


The Pontiac teams up with some of the top female mixologists in the region to bring you Reservoir Dames: the first ever all female afternoon through to evening of inculcation. The event will consist of daytime seminars on martinis and jello-shots by the visiting mistresses, followed by guest bartending from the awesome trio: Micaela Piccolo, Annemarie Sagoi, and Hannah Waters, who will come together with Hong Kong's own First Lady of Mixology, Beckaly Franks, for an evening of mayhem!

The Program


1pm: Martini

Covering the history behind the infamous classic and creating the ultimate guest experience.


3pm: If It Jiggles, Shoot It

Exploring the science of gourmet jello shots.


8pm until late: Bartending by Micaela Piccolo, Annemarie Sagoi, Hannah Waters and Beckaly Franks

Behind the sticks will be some of the most revered women in the bartending industry unleashing their best.

The Ladies


Micaela Piccolo

Known for her warm smile, engaging conversations and supreme hospitality. Her journey began as a bar back in NYC, working effectively towards a BarSmarts Certification that lead to her traveling to East Asia as a bar consultant, judging competitions, educating and leading her own bar teams while working closely with Food Networks stars such as Chef Giada De Laurentiis and Chef Michael Symon. Micaela is currently residing in Seoul, South Korea, taking on a new project after her years of leading the bar team in TriBeCa's Distilled NY, eventually landing her a spot on Thrillist’s “14 Female Bartenders You Need To Know In NYC” list.



Annemarie Sagoi

She has worked with some of Chicago’s most talented chefs and bartenders during her tour of duty in the city’s vibrant restaurant and bar scene. Sagoi cut her teeth at Pilsen’s Nightwood and Michelin-rated Graham Elliot before jumping behind the stick at the bourbon and tequila mecca known as Big Star. Sagoi has won numerous competitions including the Chicago Bacardi Superior Cup, 1st place in the 2014 Tenzing Coupe, and a finalist in the National Cherry Heering Competition at Tales of the Cocktail. She managed the beverage program at The Dawson, which opened in October 2013 and was honored with Time Out’s “Best New Restaurant Cocktail Program”. She is planning her own bar in Phnom Penh slated to open December 2015.


Hannah Waters

This vivacious young woman has been busy infecting the globe with her exuberance and passion for the bar industry in no less than 20 countries in the past two years. Hannah is now an accomplished presenter, judge trainer and bartender. Fresh from her role as Brand Ambassador for Diageo Reserve, where she educated thousands across South East Asia and abroad, Hannah now retains a bartender residency at Asia’s Best Bar, 28 Hong Kong Street in Singapore, and works alongside the incredibly talented team providing concept and menu development, training and education, spirits curation and brand support to the most important bars around Asia.


Beckaly Franks

Dubbed the First Lady of Mixology, Beckaly is the first female mixologist to win the prestigious 42 Below Cocktail World Cup. Prior to moving to Hong Kong to open The Pontiac, she was most recently lead bartender at celebrated restaurant Clyde Common in Portland, which boasts four-time James Beard nominated program, four Tales of the Cocktail World’s Best Hotel Bar nominations, and numerous accolades from the New York Times, Esquire, Playboy, and the Wall Street Journal. Beckaly is also a widely recognized expert in American whiskey.
