From the 12th to the 16th of October, students from the Chinese International School will be hosting a pop-up kitchen studio, combining both simple quality food and comfort into a dinner meal. Head over to the residential complex at 1 Hau Yuen Path, Braemar Hill, where you'll be delighted by a night of great food inspired by Thai classics!
Among the enthusiastic and passionate student team are two cookbook creators, one of whom has worked in a professional kitchen. There are avid photographers and designers, as well as an experienced maître d' who has previously worked at both Stanley's and Lucy's and numerous charity banquets.
Named Tula (derived from tula kom, which means October in Thai), this pop-up aims to deliver a homely setting where you can enjoy simple and flavourful food with your family and friends. On the tasting menu is a fragrant chicken and young coconut soup, and a traditional sticky rice served with a variety of fruit. Choose between a Thai red curry with duck and lychee and pan-seared salmon with tamarind caramel sauce for your main; neither will disappoint.
Come by this pop up for a new and unique experience. If you have a special dietary requirement, don't fret: Tula can cater to your diet. Simply fill in this Google form to reserve a table, and follow the signs from the Braemar Hill bus stop to the building lobby where a member of the Tula team will be there to show you to this memorable night!
