Opera sensation

Continuing our exploring of more French cafes in Hong Kong, you'll see that Le Cafe Dalloyau is equally as popular as Angelina Paris. The finger-like chocolate cake is named by the head chef’s grandmother as Opera. The thousand layers of gorgeously rich chocolate ganache along with the scent of luscious almond flavour within thin-cut coffee sponge cake gives this treat an intense coffee aroma. This is undoubtedly their signature gateau.

A combination of choux and puff pastries, ornamented with silky Chantilly cream has become another favourite here. You can visually see real vanilla pods being added in the smooth cream giving a wonderfully light essence to it.

In case of not getting enough layering and pastry delight, the mille feuille is also a magnificent choice. Again, the puff pastries have been caramelized slightly, with crispy edges and stacked together with a yellowish whilst sweet pastry cream.

Overall, Dalloyau cafe is probably the best spot for some luscious French patisseries.
