Zen Too is described as a small butterfly. This new fusion restaurant is a daughter branch of Zen, which used to be located in Pacific Place at Admiralty. The food here is served in exquisitely mini portions, trickily named and with lots of creative simplicity. A favourite small dish is the runny smoked egg, plated in a cute little spoon, with a soft exterior and the presence of a very strong tea aroma.
Another creative dish is sweet and sour pork, diced in extremely small bites, served over half-cut pineapple bun. However, the bun could have been presented at higher temperature and a little toastier.
I especially love the deep fried tofu. In spite of its awkward appearance, the inside is as silky as egg white pudding.
The souffle mountain is also a remarkable one with fluffy and airy egg white covering bits and pieces of bitter melons. The restaurant also serves dim sum during the afternoon in a friendly price range. I think it could be a great place for a family lunch gathering.
