This spacious and elegant crystal house is located in the Pacific Place. Its open all day from breakfast to lunch with brunch on the weekend and dinner, complete with an intimate ambience. The restaurant serves British classic food, but you'll also find inspiration from French and Italian cuisine on their menu as well.
The 3 course lunch set starts off with a fresh tomato salad with salted anchovies and a simple olive oil vinaigrette dressing. The plating is amazing and very delightful.
We followed with a steamed fillet of hake, similar to white cod, that had the perfect flakiness, served over a bed of sea-salted crispy samphire. It was also topped with a piece of batter-fried oyster and citrus sauce.
For a hot starter, the possibly 3-egg omelette was delectably fluffy, with the inside wobbly cooked and stuffed with morel mushrooms.
The chef’s signature, girdled scallops, were exceptionally sweet, with chestnut puree and zesty lemon rinds. Both gave the plump scallops an extra lift and refreshment.
We completed our set lunch with an unfussy banana caramel tart tatin, which came with a jar of vanilla custard.
To be completely indulged, the decadent Paris brest has been filled with generous creamy praline cream. The chocolate souffle is also remarkable in terms of its texture, which is instantly perfected with a dollop of pistachio ice cream and the pouring of rich gooey chocolate sauce. It is so satisfying!
