Po Hing Fong is the latest local attraction in the Central district. You can find colourful graffiti, artistic cafes and probably a scent of good food around there. Tabibito is a mobbed cafe with a distinct way of cooking that combines Japanese with Mexican and serves Japanese tapas. They do brunch on Saturday and Sundays only, whereas dinner tapas are available on weekdays. The popular mentaiko pasta has every piece of spaghetti steeped in an absolutely creamy mentaiko sauce, but it's not for my liking. Favourite dishes include: the super duper thick pancake, which embodies a half cut caramelized banana and the mini burgers which are juicy and tender with thick slices of foie gras and a spread of truffle mayonnaise. Lastly, the Norwegian salmon pizza is flavourfully dressed with wasabi mayonnaise, a layer of tempura crust and a thin crust base. These are all dishes that are not to be missed! Our brunch ends with the daily mango crepe cakes filled with silky cream, frozen mango slices, and a surprisingly scrumptious almond crust. I look forward to my next dinner visit and trying the uni tofu as well as the chicken tamago.
