Tivo, at the Kennedy Town, is an urban looking warehouse building right across the park. Their Mediterranean meets American menu, with small and large platters including appetizers, salads, house made pizzas and mains are so great for sharing.
My favourite starter is a delectable combination of roasted squash, sweet applesauce and a creamy layer of ricotta cheese on toasted sourdough. A medium cooked tuna tataki, with simple soy sauce braised radishes and crispy garlic is also a highly recommended dish.
The signature Tivo bao is unexpectedly fluffy, enclosed with a boosting flavour of the melt in your mouth Wagyu beef, pickled radish and cilantro. I especially love their homemade barbecue sauce that is served separately in an old-school squeeze bottle.
Five chunks of tempura sole fillet served on authentic wooden board are flaky and garnished with an adequate balance of tomato salsa and cabbage coleslaw.
The crunchy brandy snap infused with kumquat is made flawlessly with great caramelisation, white chocolate mousse, orange zests and refreshing passion fruit coulis. It has just won my heart hands down!
