Originating in Milan, Panino Giusto is a brand that claims to succeed utilising a precise formula known as “The Rule of 7”; meaning to create sandwiches using the finest Italian ingredients consisting of: 70 grams of meat, 70 grams of cheese, and 70 grams of French baguette. In spite of its limited space the newest grab-and-go spot in IFC Podium, on the third level, offers a semi-open kitchen atmosphere mimicking an al fresco dining area, giving it an ideal and relaxing ambience. Tonight, we sample two of their sandwiches that are both authentically handcrafted in a perfect balance of flavour.
For a vegetarian option, the Genovese has grilled courgettes and aubergines stuffed between a panini-pressed baguette, with beautifully melted provolone and a signature pesto sauce.
Another enticing option is the old turkey breast, that comes with fresh tomato slices, bitterly fresh rocket and an absolutely creamy, delicious tuna sauce. You can also pay an additional dollar for 25 grams of thickly sliced brie cheese. It is super soft and comforting and is definitely recommended as an addition to the turkey breast sandwich.
Aside from their outstanding sandwiches, we were also able to savour their classic house made tiramisu. They serve it chilled and make it with thick mascarpone and an egg mixture. The finishing touch of a dusting of cocoa powder truly makes it a legitimate end to any meal.
